This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brooklyn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

So delicious! The katsu curry was DELICIOUS! And the spicy tuna tacos were so worth it. All around, I enjoyed eating here so much. Not a crumb was left on the plate. 10/10 recommend coming!!

Soboku is a clean, cozy little spot in Carroll Gardens that makes a great first impression. We came right at opening and were lucky enough to grab a window seat, making for a relaxed brunch. I also loved the menu with its pictures and illustrationsβ€”a thoughtful touch that made ordering more fun. We ordered both of the omurice dishes from the brunch menu: the Soboku Omurice and the Curry Omurice, along with the yuzu and lychee Japanese sodas. Everything was delicious. The Soboku Omurice was my favorite, especially with the drizzle of Otafuku sauce, which gave it a subtle okonomiyaki-like flavor that really elevated the dish. The Curry Omurice was equally enjoyable, with a warm, comforting, home-cooked feel. We also added the optional proteins (chicken and sausage), and while they cost extra, they were well worth itβ€”both were perfectly cooked and complemented the dishes nicely. Overall, it was a wonderful brunch experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, thoughtful presentation, and flavorful food, I’d absolutely come back and am excited to work my way through the rest of the menu.

We had a delicious brunch by the window at our favorite katsu curry restaurant. The brunch menu was a very nice surprise with different dishes like a creamy spicy roe udon and omurice! All very tasty with an iced matcha latte.

I dined here on Sunday morning. We were the first group of guests so it was all quiet and peaceful. Cute decor and music. All the food tasted great. Maybe it's just our selection but the seasoning appeared to be all similar, something like otafuku sauce & mayo. Regardless it was a good brunch!

I had such a wonderful experience at Soboku! The moment I walked in, the cozy interior and warm lighting made the place feel so inviting. The rustic brick wall and simple Japanese-inspired decor created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. I ordered several dishes, and everything was delicious. - The Ebi Fry was perfectly crispy with juicy shrimp inside. - The Katsu Curry was comforting and flavorful , the katsu stayed crispy even with the curry sauce. - The Croquettes were creamy inside with a beautiful golden crust. - The Spicy Salmon Crisps were such a fun bite, crunchy base with a creamy, slightly spicy topping. - The Takoyaki was soft, savory, and topped with plenty of bonito flakes. This is definitely a spot I would come back to for comforting Japanese fare. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
